Week 4: Consumer Behavior

Consumer Behavior is a very important marketing tool for any company or product in the marketing industry. Knowing how to market your product to your target market is very important and my example of that is Pepsi. Pepsi usually comes in a plastic bottle or can with a blue label and their typical Pepsi logo.
This really caught my attention because it reminds me of the Pepsi logos fro the 1950s and 1960s and it also brought the Pepsi drink back in a glass bottle (something you dont really see anymore). I feel that the Pepsi marketing personnel came up with the idea to "turn back the clock" on the Pepsi logo to reach the target market of people who remember drinking Pepsi as a kid in the 1950s and 1960s. Those people today are in their 40s and 50s and might not drink as much soda anymore. This is a great marketing technique to connect with the consumers on a personal level according to experiences that might pursuade them to make a purchase of Pepsi. The consumer might purchase this product to connect to their childhood or memories of drinking Pepsi soda when they were a kid.
